1 Degree Celsius (2025)
Through her signature electrifying movement, pulsating music, and dynamic lighting, Sung Im Her | Her Project’s 1 Degree Celsius explores the individual and collective body, placing humanity at the centre of our relationships with nature, cities, and the environment. The performance asks: how can art inspire action in response to environmental challenges?
The seven dancers of Her’s abstract dance production move with both sharp precision and undulating flow as they hypnotically traverse the space of the stage, revealing how closeness and distance between bodies creates a shared collective identity. In 1 Degree Celsius, the body in nature, the body as an urban citizen, and bodies that calculate, collide and resist come together as embodiments of our struggle to respond to the Earth’s changing state.
