As a woman, performer, Asian woman and migrant I am interested in how these three identities intersect especially in relation to the #metoo and #timesup movements that began in the west and have had a huge impact in Korea. How is this changing our experience of being in the world and seeing each other. How we relate to our bodies and how they are presented by us and seen by others. How our cultural backgrounds and different cultural contexts and space affect this. Korean, European and the UK.
What I have observed so far in the process is a distinctive choreographic vision, matched with been open to new ideas and ways of working. It has been refreshing to to collaborate with an artist who is willing to take risks and experiment so freely, and to work outside her immediate realm of experience.
